The game is named after the number you're already chasing

Be honest: the game is named after the number on your screen. Max Vert. The most vertical feet you can squeeze out of a given ski day.
Is that a great goal? Ask the knees on run number twenty-three and they'll have opinions. But it's the number every skier who tracks their day ends up chasing, and there's no reason to pretend otherwise.
I track my own days with Slopes. It's great. I genuinely can't imagine skiing without it anymore — every run logged, every ride up counted, a tidy total waiting at the bottom. And every season the game is the same: how high can that total go? I'm always chasing max vert. So when I made a skiing game, the name picked itself.
Max Vert takes that number-chasing and makes it the whole game. You pick your runs, build your loadout, and decide line by line: bank the safe vertical, or send it and roll for double. Stomp it and the quota swells. Crater it and you've burned a run and gained nothing.
The difference here is that the mountain is on your table instead of under your feet — and the dice occasionally disagree with your line choice.
If you've ever refreshed a tracking app at the end of the day just to see the number, you already know how to play.
